SCULPTURE

There is a struggle going on about what it is to be human.

In one respect, the body responds mechanically, acting as a slave to outside forces and internal drives. Yet in another sense, the body functions as an agent of the mind with spatial and existential freedoms. My work explores the terms of this conflict in the play of forces both physical and metaphorical that generate form.

As people engage created objects they become part of a system of meanings exchanged through the medium of art.
